Writers Block by: A.L, McIntosh
The worst thing you can try to do is to force the
issue. You are almost certainly trying too hard.
I know it's hard but you have to wait until
something hits you. It can come anytime, probably
when you least expect it. Even then, you are
going to go through a period of self doubt, as to
whether the idea is any good or not. At this
point just concentrate on what you are trying to
achieve and what in your mind the finished
product is going to sound like. Hope this helps.
Best Wishes

Don`t do anything by: Vic
If you don`t have inspiration it always helps me playing or practising my instrument instead of trying to write a song.
After a while ideas start popping up. Either a chord structure or a melody or hook of some sort.
Try and work from there.

Most of the time I will take a nice long run and have a drink afterwords and then the words start flowing in again.

just ride it out by: Lonnie
When I have writers block it may be a year before I can write anything. I just keep all those little notes and ideals tucked away till the time is right. When I do go back to writing I may three in one day, then it'll start slowing back down. I'll write like 10-14 songs then I can't write anymore for nothing. I just ride it out and look forward to the time when it hits again
