Who She is - Lyrics Critique

Who she is by Charlie in alabama
My wife worked at a nursing home / after graduating school /
I dropped by to meet her for lunch / I thought it would be cool /
I waited for her at the desk / as an old man picked up a tray /
The nurse said hello Mr. Jones / as he slowly walked away /
So, I asked the nurse who was that man / she said his wife is here /
He comes in each day to feed her lunch / she hasn’t known anyone for years /
She just stares out into space / as he softly kisses her on her face /
And If you ask him why he comes / His answer will bring tears……/
He says /
I still know / who she is /
Even though she can’t remember me at all /
She’s the Love of my life /
She’s my best friend and my sweet wife /
You see/ I / still know / who she is /
As my wife and I shared our lunch / I could not forget that man /
And I know how much I love my wife / so I think I understand /
Another fifty years from now / who knows where we‘ll be /
But if something happened to my wife / that old man could be me /
Saying /
I still know / who she is /
Even though she can’t remember me at all /
She’s the Love of my life /
She’s my best friend and my sweet wife /
Oh I / still know / who / she is /
We all get older or we die / that’s just a fact of life /
I don’t ever want/ to forget / my children or my wife /
But should that ever happen / as bad as that would be /
I just hope that someone / Remembers me /
He says /
I still know / who she is /
Even though she can’t remember me at all/
She’s the Love of my life /
She’s My best friend and my sweet wife /
Oh I / still know / who / she is /
He said /even though /
No one else here / may know /
I, still know / who she is /
