Trying Lyrics - Country Song - Lyric Feedback

by Missy Oesterheld
(Spotsylvania, VA)

Trying to hide the disappointment
The hurt the tears the pain
Trying to find the will to go on
To start all over again

Trying to make everyone happy
While I’m sitting here falling apart
Trying to wear a genuine smile
To hide this broken heart

I’ve been down some
I’ve been lonesome
But never to the point where the tears had to fall
Never did I feel that I was losing it all

Never before did have I have to learn to stop loving you

Why did it have to end this way?
Wasn’t there something I could say
To make you want to be a part of my world
Instead of walking away for that other girl?

I’ve been down some
I’ve been lonesome
But never to the point where the tears had to fall
Never did I feel that I was losing it all

Never before did have I have to learn to stop loving you

What were the signs I must have missed?
Was it in your smile or in your kiss?

I’ve been down some
I’ve been lonesome
But never to the point where the tears had to fall
Never did I feel that I was losing it all

Never before did have I have to learn to stop loving you

this song.. was actually the best i´ve read on this site so far.. is different from the rest.. is really good.. u have talent..
i am not trying to correct your lyric.. but when i was reading it.. i changed some lines.. and i wanted to let them know to you.. is just a personal opinion..
where you wrote:Never before did have I have to learn to stop loving you
i wrote:never before I had learn how to carry on
how to let you go

is just a little change.. an opinion.. but still.. is a great song..!!
