Tip for writing songs - Be true to yourself

(Tip for writing songs)

Dont allow the fact that you havent written that perfect song to stop you from continuing. Sometimes it takes multiple tries to get one song to sound like a hit, and even then you are your own worst critic. Be true to yourself and get feedback from others. You never know if what you think sounds bad sounds great to an impartial observer.

Totally agree with you here.

Not everyone likes the same things... so it can always help to get feedback from somone else and asking for other opinions...

I do this with my friend... we both write lyrics... so we can respect eachothers material, and we just sort of fire songs, and verses back and forth for a second opinion

and it can often help you think about your own lyrics in a better way... my friend wrote a song and i think she intended it to have a high tempo... but when I sang it back to her how I interpreted the lyrics... she was impressed by the outcome and is now struggling on which way to have the song
