Thinking about setting up a recording/mixing website

Hi buddie,
Im from Glasgow, Scotland. Iam 30 years old, my main jobs have been sales/marketing and admin. However my passion is recording and mixing bands.

Firstly Recording/mixing bands and post production for movies. I was top of my class at the SAE Institude in Glasgow, and graduated 2 years ago. However since then I have not been doing what I want as I have no business start up money and my business model isnt good enough to warrant a bank giving me money to open a studio. I have lots of information about recording and mixing, I am a total tech head. Local bands are always telling me I need to do something with it, so is my girlfriend too.

I try to make my own songs but I'm just not that way minded I think. I am very intellectual and analytical minded so my main function is retaining and gathering knowledge. This is what I want to put on the website.

I been reading what you have on your site and what site builder does however I have some questions.

How does running your website make you money, who pays you?
What is an information website selling, and how do I get the money?
Is this a viable way to make money?
Is site builder a yearly fee for hosting?
Can you build lots of sites for the price of one site builder pack?

Have you built your website? Somehow I missed your post and have taken forever to respond. But I'll still venture to answer your questions since it would help someone else with these same questions.

To answer your questions, my website makes me money through ads from google (google adsense) and affiliate programs.

With Google adsense, you fill in a simple form to apply to their program, then you copy and paste their code into your pages. They display relevant ads that you get paid for when a visitor clicks on them.

As for affiliate programs you recommend products on your site and get a commision when a customer buys that product.

You get paid various ways including via check.

These are just two of the ways to generate money from a website. There are many more such as dropshipping, referrals, etc.

Monetizing your site is the easy part. As long as you have a high traffic website it's easy to make money. SBI teaches you how to build a quality content site that attracts target visitors.

Yes, it is a very viable way to make money. The good thing about this is that the money is passive. You get to generate income even when you're not working on your site, unlike a job where you don't get paid if you don't work. Many have quit their jobs because their online income has surpassed what they were making at work. There are more and more millionaires being created on the Internet today.

Yes, there is a yearly fee for SBI. But there is no other business you can start for such a small amount of money, $299, and compete with big-time offline businesses. This is only possible on the Internet.

You can't build lots of sites for the price of one SBI package. I don't think it would be fair to Sitesell, the creator of SBI. You're already getting so much value.
