The Truth - Lyric critique- country song

by Dhwani
(India)

THE TRUTH

i saw a man, i saw him die
the tears didn't quite fall from his eyes
and he said, "i die everyday,
so it's really not anything to worry about, okay?"
i turned to him and i asked him
what he meant by that
and he said,

looking back i have no regrets
but there are some things that i can't forget
it kills me out, and it kills me in
because the truth hurts
from within

i turned away from that man
who was trying to live
life that only those who are broken hearted can
i met a woman in the subway
she was crying her heart out
and her voice raised to a shout
and she said

looking back i have no regrets
but there are some things that i can't forget
it kills me out, and it kills me in
because the truth hurts
from within

are there so many people
who live life the same way
those who only get what they give
and these lost souls cry out in their sleep
and they die every night
and at morning they rise as we speak
and they all have but one thing to say

looking back i have no regrets
but there are some things that i can't forget
it kills me out, and it kills me in
because the truth hurts
from within

I think you're quite a deep thinker looking at the stuff you wrote. I like. Only, I thought it would be a bit more coordinated. Well done though. It's a good piece as I do not fancy most of the shallow stuff people write now except it is accompanied with awesome instrumentals. Those kind of writers give the studio producers more work to do.
