The Punk & The Gentleman - Lyrics Critique --- GENRE - Punk

by Jonathan Shorley
(Brisbane, Queensland, Australia)

If I don’t say it then I can’t spray it,
Like a multi coloured riot of graffiti on the wall,
You act like your doing something when you’re full of nothing,
It’s the neighbourhood propping up your crumbling walls,

Well I beg to differ, your full of contempt,
If you wonder about your future look at where you’re past went,
I’m doing fine walking pinstripes in my mind,
And I can’t comprehend your means to an end,

The punk & the gentleman
They’re at it again with no common sense,
It’s all national pride,
To bad the nation lied,
Well the punk & the gentleman are at it again with no common sense,
It’s a standard and where all in for the fight,

If I don’t pretend you’re on the other side again,
A defence against your territory, the enemies’ men,
If I don’t hold a weapon then I’m seen as doing nothing,
Well nothing is still something so lets do it again,

I’ll carry this square and papers in the air,
Re-writing all the rules and the colour in my hair,
Where all the same, a banner and a name,
It’s just a different colour but the crest is still the same,

i like the title it could be a good hook but i struggle with your metaphores my advice keep the title and simplify the verses to a more direct approach
