The 3 P's - Songwriting

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

ok, so they arent three different P's... but each one is important... at the moment i have only written 17 songs... ranging from my very first... to a song i wrote literally 5 minutes ago.

and i must say... my first 4 are easily identified because they are the worse... and you can tell i had little experience

then the next 10 were like, average... nothing great... but shared with the band for improvements... maybe there is some value there

and the fewer more recent ones... you can easily see i have come a long way since my first attempts...

so remember, the more practice you get at writing songs... the more you will find yourself enjoying it, and the more easily you will be able to make it flow

and finally, NEVER delete or throw away any of your notes or first attempts or the songs you like least. They may not appeal to you right now or make sense yet... but you never know when you might be able to lift a couple lines or a verse from your notes or earlier attempts to fit them into your recent work... or somone else may easily be able to work with them to make sense of them in a way u may not think of
