Step one, move on in, get there first before they grab
What you want, its yours if, you say things right so understand
It’s on your watch, take it or leave it

(And you can say what you want, but answer me this)

When the stars go out, and you’re left standing there
Will it be about what you could have said
Would ofs, should ofs, it means nothing, nothing
And if they re-aligned, would you take your shot
Or get left behind, back in the same spot
Would you take it, take it or leave it there?
You’ll stand there, nothing to do but stare

Do you want, to know if, things will work out in the end
Do you want, to know if, there’s a chance to make amends
If you want, to find out, start of slow but keep it moving
If you want, to find out, step two’s easy, ask and you’ll see
