Sun Set - Songwriters Lyric Review.

Hey wrote this today a little bit heartbroken,took about 5 minutes.Its probably crap but it really helped me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As I lay there in pain,
I realised this life was not for me,
Simple things no longer fill the void,
I played my hand allin,allin,
I thought her love would save me,
but hers was not for me,

How do i go on knowing what I know,
I had the winning numbers but she didn't understand,
She said lifes not a movie,
and then quoted me a line,
"I love him, pleasedon't be sad,
but we can still be friends"

Today four hours passed,
I felt that i might cry,
but the numbness of sleep saved me,
tricked untill I did awake,
for my little heart then told me,
"things change, you never know"

I'll carry on this sad charade,
Untill the river card shows,
maybe then i'll know i bet to much,
maybe then my life will change,
because a fools love will always wait,
neck deep in the rising tide

These things that i feel,
I could only do this once ,
people doubt them, she doubts them,
but the pain is real enough,
maybe someday she wil see ,
what ....................
