The Songwriting Tip.
Songwriting tip; tips to improve your songwriting, providing motivation, inspiration and ideas.
I'd like to stress once again that there are really no rules in songwriting. Every songwriter knows that.
Although I've tried to present a number of suggestions on this site, you must realize that a songwriting tip is exactly what the name suggests ... a tip. It's designed to guide you, but in no way is it a rule. People break the so-called songwriting rules all the time and end up with great hits.
Does this undermine the value of a songwriting tip? Certainly not! I believe that the tips provided on this site, as well as those found on other great songwriting sites, work in the majority of situations. Therefore they surely deserve your attention.
You may not agree with everything, and you're certainly not expected to. But a good songwriting tip can go a long way in providing inspiration, motivation, and even songwriting ideas. At least it works for me.
Sometimes you come across a song writing tip and realize that it's not anything new or anything that you didn't know. However, just reading it helps fuel your imagination and provide good songwriting guidance.
Personally, I have found that simply reading a good song writing tip can make my entire day. You think I'm exaggerating? Probably not.
Here's a quick songwriting tip:
A lot of people keep asking the question, "What should I write about?" My answer to them is to write something that comes from you; something that comes from the heart. Even if someone gives you 1000 different topics to write about, it probably wouldn't work as well as if you're writing about what you feel and know about.
You should probably start by going to a quiet spot and just let ideas flow out of your heart. When your song is written and performed, there is a great chance that the listener will end up feeling what you're feeling.
