Songwriting Bits and pieces.

by Jason
(United States)

I have never written a song before. I do play guitar and is working on a song to play to one of my friends who i like. She is a singer and a song writer herself and i would love to write her a song. I am having difficulty putting everything I have put together. Any Help?

Hey jason! Well I think that the best song you can write to her is about how great a friend she is.I know it sounds gay, but it will help.If you play guitar,Great! Experiment with difrent chords and try and put them together in a neat way. Then write some lyrics. You can do that anyway you want, just make it sound good.If you want it to be about your friend You can choose to let her know that or not.The easiest way to do that is by choosing to put her name in the song. You can also give yourself a little time to think. But The important part is adding personality.Just write and keep in mind three aspects of music, Form,Beat,And Personality.
Good luck,
Gem
