Nestled away and hidden up in the beautiful Portuguese mountains of Monchique is The Serra Vista Recording Studio. This studio really is a different recording experience and Monchique is a far cry away from the Algarve that is commonly known to visitors. This part of Portugal has a gorgeous temperature with lovely warm days & fresh calm nights. This tranquil treasure has all the comforts of a modern day recording facility and none of the distractions of a cramped, stifling city. The live room is housed in the old school which was built in 1954 and has been totally remodeled. The Studio has all the equipment found in any up to date premise with some great Vintage extras too! The comfortable accommodation offered is inside the quaint farm house "Casa Branca" (The White House). The house can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people and offers a newly decorated interior including large farm-house kitchen, 4 good size bedrooms & a chic shower/wet room. The lounge/bar is a separate fabulous converted barn with all the usual extras such sky T.V. Play Station etc etc. The bar is comfortable and most importantly has a fully stocked fridge, for when the thirst needs to be quenched! There is a peaceful private court-yard situated by the studio to sit & relax in and at the front of Casa Branca there is a large terrace over looking the mountains & the river - "Perna da Negra". Sit under the Tikki shade in a lovely sun chair and chill-out. Serra Vista studio is set in over 8 acres of private land with amazing flora and beautiful views. Fruit trees and cactus will delight . There is a New Rustic plunge pool to cool off in and relax around ! You can take amazing walks to inspire & contemplate and inspiration comes very easily in this peaceful environment. There are usually no more than 2 or 3 cars a day that pass by Serra Vista Studio. One of them's a friend and the other's lost. Privacy is abundant! Serra Vista Studio can be experienced in many different ways, you may want to come on a writing retreat for a long weekend, maybe a solo project for a couple of days or a full blown recording extravaganza. All of these options are available with clean lovely rooms and breakfast, lunch & dinner included all in the studio fee. The studio has ample car parking and airport transfers can easily be organized. Faro airport is less than 2 hours away. Spain is only a couple of hours drive.
