Perspective (Tip for Writing Lyrics)

by Jason S.
(Fergus Falls, MN)

*If you've experienced something with someone, try writing a song from their perspective, or more clearly, what you perceive as their perspective.*

*Don't be afraid of being bold, sometimes that can be the most subtle.*

*I constantly think of ways to say things differently*

*a cool thing I enjoy is using a different vocal rhythm during a part or two of the song, and make it mean the most*

*write raps based on nothing and everything, it has to have a flow and a rhythm, and should try to make it about the same topic throughout.*

*Do not be afraid to suck! criticize yourself, but be your own number one fan--after all, When something sounds good to you, and if you believe it, so will others.*
