Nora Lyrics critique- Soul

by Nora Daveroux
(Napa Valley, California, U.S.A)

I am a total beginner so feel free to rip me to shreds.I know this needs a ton of work

"The easy target"

Rueful looks, I never seem to forget
The flashing moment of thunder in your head
(ALL THE THINGS YOU DREAD)
leaking between grins and regret
all those things you wish you wouldn’t have said
drifting in the back of your thoughts,
don’t you wish they were the ones you forgot?

Chorus;
Im sorry for being such an easy target
Minding myself, never looking your way
I know, me? who would’ve thought it

Soft-hearted I ran to your desperate plea
Still don’t know why it had to be me
Helped you up when you were on the floor
Brushed the dust off and locked me In your trap door

Chorus:
Im sorry for being such an easy target
Minding myself, never looking your way
I know, me? who would’ve thought it

Lousy parasite
Cross roads with me again
Look my way and i promise it’ll be
A decision you will regret

Lyrics spoke to me, but every lyric can have a different meaning to each individual, that is one of the beauties of music and why it is the universal language.
