My writing story

by kylie
(washington)

When I want to start writing a song, I don't try to write the whole thing in one day or in one sitting.I think of lines throughout the day and I write them down so later I can add them to a song. They don't all have to mean the same thing, but it will help when you need a line when you're stuck. When I come up with lines I could be in the car driving or at school or at work and it doesn't matter how long it is, as long as you think it's a good line WRITE IT DOWN! Dont let it slip out of your head, trust me I have done that before and I had a very hard time writing the next song. When you do put your lines together make sure you are in a quiet environment, so no one can bother you. This way you can write for hours and not lose train of thought.
