I've Been Building a home studio for the last year, and I'm just about there. A year ago, I had a Karoke Machine, an Acoustic, and one electric and a mac. The Hobby Got out of hand....I now have 3 Macs... A tascam Fw 1804 interface ( great machine), 2 Sets Of Reference Monitprs ( Alesis M1 Mk11's, and A set of KRK RP5's on the way ), as well as a set of pro Audio 1200 watt 2 ways with a 1000 watt amp., Behringer--- Ultralink pro Splitter,- Vamp Pro, - Virtualizer Pro, -Dual 31 Band Eq, -31 band Digital EQ, 1222fx Mixer, -Active Crossover, 2 Powered Sub Woofers, Tube Composre 1952, Tube preamp, Art 2 Channel tube Preamp, Alto Spectrum Analyzer, 2 Power Conditioners.... Keyboards, Logic Express, Garageband, Cubase le, Amplitube 2 Guitar Rig 3, 11 Microphones, 2 Bass Guitars ( one Acoustic Electric ) 7 Electric Guitars, 2 Acoustic Guitars, 2 Powered Fender Stage Pass Monitors....A Set Of Conga Drums, A set Of Roland V Drums TD3....Hmmm What else....over head Mic Mounts, An Alesis Studio 24 Mixer, A Mackie HM56 headphone/ Monitor Matrix Mixer ( A must for live recording in studio ).....8 sets of Car Audio Speakers & a set of Logitech Computer Speakers and a set of book shelf speakers ( All for Referencing Mixes And mastering ).....Hummmmm3 Sets Of wired head phones , one set of Wireless headphones.... 3 Wireless Mic transmitters A Roland AC60 Acoustic Stereo Amp, And A Peavey Bandit lead Amp, A Fiddle, A Boorahan And A set of Spoons. Along with about 2 Miles Of Cables & plugs......So....God Bless Ebay huh!...lol Oh yess.. My Tip...I actually do have one...... I was looking to have some acoustic treament in my Studio, with out spending a whole lot of Money ( too late )...lol..I wanted something that would look good, and absorb sound...So... ( And here It Is... At Home Depot.. I found Peel And Stick Carpet tiles..1 Ft Squared...20 in a box for $10.. I bought Black tiles, And Tan Tiles.. and Coverd my walls from ceiling to floor....they look very professional..and are amazing for sound absorbtion... not too much...not too little...and Very Cheap. I Play on line ( Audio & Video ) there is a free program called Camfrog ( camfrog.com ) it is a video chat program, in there several rooms (Acoustic Guitars ), (Acoustic Jam ) and a load more... muscians go in and sing and play for the room ( Audio & Video ) nice people there...
