Lyric writing tip.

by Kenn Mann - GMA Dove Award Winner for Musical of the Year "MAKE US ONE"
(Largo, FL)

I learned this from my good friend Donna Douglas. Take your hook (song title) and circle the strongest word in the title. Then draw lines out from that word and create "adjectives" that describe that word. For example if the Key word is "Rain" then use words like "rainbow, tears, dry, cloud, sun, day, etc. within your song. It helps you focus on that the key elements are in your song. Isn't that a winner!!!
