Lyric IDEA (no solid song yet, tips welcome!)

by Jordan
(Washington)

I've had a really good idea for a song, but I can't seem to put it altogether into a well thought out song. I have the general idea, but I'm not finding the details well.
It's about a girl I know who's like my second best friend in the whole world. I've had a crush on her TWICE and nothing happened TWICE; this idea isn't what I want to write about...maybe I could include it somehow, but I don't want the sort of, well, not happy feeling to drag the song down. I want to title the song "Kindest Friend", and just write about how she's one of the best things that I've got. Maybe I can include the possibility that we are in fact right for eachother, and that one day she'll take me like I'd so openly take her at any time. But again, I don't want it to be a song about a crush. I want to compliment her on what she is to me.
I have one line that could be like a chorus, or the end of a chorus. It's "You're my prettiest friend and my funniest friend. I'd swear that you're my kindest friend, and you're the kind of friend that...(some sort of uncliched line that says she's the kind of friend that makes everything alright)". I know I've had some really general details for you, but I really want to get this song going. I need a catalyst, so I was hoping even the simplest ideas you could offer could help me. Thanks!

just start writing and get all the stuff out than start organizing it. try making a list of why she's the kindest friend you like in your life than they could be put in your verses. and i know you sont want some cliche line but sometimes they work the best....i hope i've helped you some. good luck on the song

Whoever posted that thing about writing everything u feel about the person is completely...dead on. It's the best way to stumble on to a hook or a verse. But u probably want some lyric ideas. Try "When my skies are gray and the rain just hits the ground. You're smile like the sun, it always clears it up. Whenever I'm feeling down, you always come around and cheer me up." I know it's not much but it might help.
