Just how DO you make money with a music based web site?

Dear Mantius Cazaubon,

Amazing!

That is what caught my eye.
I want to do that.

This month, I decided to create a web site.
The URL is now named ("leadsheet.biz"), and I have a front page of some illustrations of what my new company does.
That's it.
I don't know what I'm doing business-wise, or what is the next step in the process to get paying customers.
But I discovered YOUR web site.
And you make it sound possible (i.e., to make money with a music based web site).
I am reading up on internet based businesses.
But I don't want to sell jewelry or sell gift baskets.
Ideally, I want 100% of my products/services, whatever those products/services end up being, to be MUSIC RELATED.

So, without plugging SBI too much, can you advise me as to what would be a good next step?

Hi Kim,

Thanks for your question. To generate traffic to a website you must have what people are searching for, which is CONTENT. You must have information on whatever people are typing into search engines like google and bing.

Setting up a site is easy but a website without information is dead. You can't expect people to visit such a site. Traffic is the most important thing on your site and it's by having loads of traffic (thousands of visitors per month) that you make money.

Monetization is the very last step in putting a site together.

In a nutshell, you need a site with CONTENT, that content generates TRAFFIC, the traffic is PRESOLD because of your great information, and finally you MONETIZE your site by recommending products to them.

Unless you're a big company like Amazon, you can't set up a product site and expect to make money.

If you've already started your website on the wrong footing, you've set up yourself to fail and there's not much that can be done to make your site a winner. Before setting up your site you should have done the proper research. You need to know a lot of things like what words to write on and so on. I can go on and on. This is why I recommend what I use which is SBI! All the best.

PS. There is no way I can speak about building a successful site without recommending (plugging) SBI! I can only be honest and speak about what I know works.
