Ima Fight Lyrics Critique - Pop/Rock/Country Vibe?

by Kimberly D.
(Weaverville, CA)

This song I just wrote recently. Its about when I was 5 and I was molested. But somehow it ended up kinda being about when I had cancer too. I really want some comments on it and my other songs on this site too. Please dont be afraid to be harsh.

Ima Fight

Bright lights
coming at me
the shadows
creap into the darkness
tied down to these railroad tracks
and i push, and i push
tring to get free

Chorus:
But no matter what you do
Ima fight Ima fight till i get you
Behind the wall of fire
then the brightest stars gonna shine
cuz ima fight till i win this battle
your trains gonna come to an end
And theres no more darkness
for you to hide in

Theres no help for me now
tied down
and I cant get free from the past
comin at me like a nightmare
But its to late
cuz you already ran me over

(Chorus)

You took my life
you took my heart
dont know what im gonna do now
im not the same person
that i was from before you took me
you made the chains
and now im stuck

(Chorus)

Ima Fight (5x)

(Chorus)

I have chills!
by: Nyx Echoes

I like how you stayed true to a 'theme', by saying 'tied down' and the train thing.
The visualiaztion of 'your trains gonna come to an end, and there's no darkness left to hide in', love it! Angsty!

THough I like the part in the bridge where you say 'you took my life, you took my heart', I think the rest of it needs just a tad more feeling.

I take by 'Ima' you mean 'I will', which is what I think flows better, but whatever your gut tells you to do.

THis song gave me chills, I bet if I heard being played I would cry, which is a good thing! ;)

Anywho, I could really see this as a indie rock\pop thing, and it's better than what I've heard on the radio lately.

I send my appreciation!
