I need help with the lyrics.. how to write a song about friendship

My best friend and I are planning on writing a song about our friendship. She has been really busy lately..and she couldn't help with the song writing, but she told me that she try to make the music. We have a title.."There Til The End". She came up with the title. It's just that I can't come up with good lyrics. Plus, this is my first time writing a song. I really want it to be a great one too. I was just wondering, if you could just help out, give me a few tips on how to write about our friendship. I would appreciate it sooo much! Please get back..(:

If I gave a good chorus to start out with cold you take it from there? If so, i can help you out. :)

Write a list of phrases that are real, heartfelt and natural, don't try to rhyme or be poetic...
Try to get the feeling you're trying to convey.

The phrases will trigger some other similar thoughts and decide what the story line is and is heading for. Pick a tempo, is it going to be upbeat, slow and reflectful, grateful, uplifting?

Make each verse about a certain moment in time when she stood by you.

For the chorus, condense the feeling you're trying to get across in 4 great to the point lines that say it all in a nutshell. Make it real. From the heart.
