Hey Darlin' Studio, Seattle, Washington

The approach to recording at Hey Darlin' Studio is client-oriented. Taking into the account the influences and moods that the artist hope to achieve. While also pulling on our staffs' lifelong experience as a musicians and performer to add an extra creative element to the mix. Using advanced multi-microphone techniques to capture every detail of the sounds in the studio. Overdubbing instruments to create a polished, professional sound. Employing sonic layering equalization to separate the tones in the mix, and automating special effects to help the music come to life.

Hey Darlin studio is a purpose built, professionally constructed recording environment. Located in a secure and private residential area. There is on-site parking, a kitchen, and a restroom available to our artists.

The studio is ~700 sq ft. room-within-a-room with floated wood flooring, the vaulted ceiling is floated as well. The walls are 8 to 10 inches thick, double framed, insulated, and feature AURALEX resilient channel in between the multiple layers of drywall. The windows are double-paned and there are two panes installed in each of the iso booth and control room windows. The doors are hardwood and solid core, each doorway has two sets of doors, creating a solid separation between the recording live room and control room.

Because of the extreme attention to detail during initial construction of the studio. The end result is a recording environment with absolutely no noise floor. Allowing the studio the ability to capture the most intimate of sounds without extraneous noise entering the recording. This also works in reverse, as we can record the loudest of sounds without the source sound escaping the studio.
