her romeo (pop/country) -lyrics critique

by jessica
(new york)

thsi is a recent song but please keep in mind that i am only thirteen so you can critizise but don't be to harsh....

Its an age old story
filled with love and glory
starts witha boy and girl
a kiss
and intertwining worlds

for some its easy
finding their love story
not for her
not for her

looking for love shouldn't be this tough
not like she sees it in the movies each scene going smoothly
some just have it made
brought together by fate
she'll just sit and wait
"what light the yonder window breaks" in this little town waiting for her romeo to come around

shes wearing her best dress
pacing up and down the staircase
mirrors looking at her
as shes waits for her prince charming
to come on trhough
bring his white horese too
this should be easy not for her not for her

looking for love shouldn't be this tough
not like she sees it in the movies each scene going smoothly
some just have it made
brought together by fate
she'll just sit and wait
"what light the yonder window breaks" in this little town waiting for her romeo to come around

oh oh
one breath at a time
oh oh
he'll come around on eof these nights
oh oh oh oh be patient baby
this should be easy
but not for her
not for her

looking for love shouldn't be this tough
not like she sees it in the movies each scene going smoothly
some just have it made
brought together by fate
she'll just sit and wait
"what light the yonder window breaks" in this little town waiting for her romeo to come around

one of these days
ina special place
he'll get down on one knee
asking "baby will you marry me"
diamond ring in his hand
juliet wishes she could have this man
romeo, her romeo has come arounnd

Honestly?
by: Anonymous

Honestly, I would say this sounds like a 13 year old version of Taylor Swifts love story. I mean, literally- you follow Swifts story line and yours is exactly like it. Just being honest. Sounds too much like you copied her song. It also sounds like a blend of many other songs- not very original overall.

However, adding your own little touches- "age old story" "what light the yonder window breaks"- good strategy. Make sure your story lines don't bring up other songs already and better done by an artist. It will be written of as a copy cat and lose any character.

Lyrics changed
by: Jessica

I relize it does sound similar and it is really bugging me cause the music is really good so I changed the lyrics a little. Ignore previous lyrics please!

It's an age old story
filled with love and glory
starts with a boy and girl
a kiss
and intertwining words
For some loving
Is just a game to play
Its Not for her not for her

Chorus:
Looking for love shouldn't be this tuf not like she sees it in the movies each scene going smoothly some just have it made get all the right breaks  she'll just. Sit and wait "what light thy younder window breaks" beneath city lights waiting for her Romeo, her mr right

So many frogs she's kissed
None have become a prince
So many different kinds but
Not one
Make any sparks fly
For some it's easy
They just get lucky
Not for her didn't happen for her

Repeat chorus

Bridge:
She's driving fast now
No plans on slowing down
Won't stop until she finds
The one
To give her all she wants
Big dreams growing fast
Soon to put lonley in the past

She'll just sit and wait "what light thy yonder windor breaks" beneath city lights she will find her Romeo her mr right

really like the change
by: Anonymous

I really like the change...now you've made it your own instead of mimicking someone else! Great job (sometimes it's hard to change what you've previously written). Keep writing!!!
