Help me....I'm ready to be a songwriter!

I have a true love for music. I have been writing music for some time now. I just recently started to really getting serious with my writing. I'm ready to take my songwriting to its next level. I'm ready to put one of my song's in an artist hands. Can someone help me get my foot in the door? ADVISE IS NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!
