I am a 13-year-old missionary kid on furlough in the U.S. We head back to Senegal, West Africa in a couple weeks. Packing is always hectic!! There are five kids in our wonderful family...and i'm the middle child. lucky me. =) my older brother is in his second year of college, my older sister in her first, and me in 7th grade. my two little sisters are in 6th and 4th grade. we have a lot of fun together. I love to write songs and am constantly writing SOMETHING 24/7.
I have kept a journal since I was six and store all of my poems and songs in 4 giant binders. The first time I tried to write a song, I was 7. It was for my little sister who was five at the time. Because of the long power-outages she was afraid of the dark so I wrote 2 songs for her. One called No Need, talking about how there's no need to be afraid because God and so many angels are watching us all the time! the other one was called Sleeping Sound in Jesus. (ex: i used to have the utmost dread/as i walked down the hallway,heading to bed)...This one i wrote for my sister in 6th grade, who has recently been complaining that all of my songs are too slow, and don't have a good "beat" to dance to. So this one is a little more of a pop song about someone who doesn't know where their life is going, but trusts that it's in God's Hands. Tell me what you think!!! Enjoy!
