Grab a newspaper! - Writing A Song - Tip

Long Live Rock Sometimes I read an article in the newspaper and highlight catchy words or phrases. For example, "The government just started this new catch and release program. The program should inspire people to give back to the environment." Sure, no one wants to write a song about this; however, there are several ideas to gain here. First, the idea of giving back can be used. Also, phrases like "just started" and "catch and release" could spark great song topics!
