Good Reverb Sound Within Your Household - Recording

This is a simple idea which I recently discovered. Items in your bedroom can project a lack of reverb and give you a dry sound when playing guitar and when singing in your room. i.e. having a bed, desk, tv, wardrobe, cupboard, carpet, walls create a dry sound in your room.
My brother just moved out his room and took all his stuff so there was just and empty room next door. In an empty room there can be good reverb and a slight delay(dependant on the size of room). This proved to be good when playing acoustic and singing. It is also a good place to record.
Simple( if you have a spare empty room!)
