FairyTale Dream Lyrics Critique - Pop/Rock/Country

by Kimberly D.
(Weaverville,Ca)

I wrote FairyTale Dream awile back. Please don't be afraid to be harsh at all.

FairyTale Dream

Verse 1:
Those eyes still shine
like when we were 5
the moon, the stars, the sun
the universe as one
sittin on the porch
80 yrs old now lookin back on the memories
how could i not know

Chorus
20 deer in my backyard woods
the birds singing that cinderella song
my fairy-god auntie
made all my wishes come true
and that prince charming
always there im livin in my fairytale dream

(Pause)

Verse 2:
im 16 walkin down the street
in my tee
in my old blue jeans
tryin to dry my tears
and then your always there
with your white horse
ready to pick me up
when i fall
everytime

Chorus:
20 deer in my backyard woods
the birds singing that cinderella song
my fairy-god auntie
made all my wishes come true
and that prince charming
always there im livin in my fairytale dream

Verse 3:
im back to 80 yrs old now
the memories have gone
but there still there
i finally have won
realized what was really there
all along
how could i not know
what i have
im the luckiest girl
in the whole wide world

Chorus:
20 deer in my backyard woods
the birds singing that cinderella song
my fairy-god auntie
made all my wishes come true
and that prince charming
always there im livin in my fairytale dream

and those eyes still shine
like when we were 5

It's not bad

Try more metaphors etc to keep the listener thinking about what it means instead of spelling it out to them.
