Expressing bitterness in a lyric?

I don't know if you've heard the song Sunday Paper performed by Jonalee White (available on YouTube). It's a country pop song, tempo 176 (Calaisa version). The music is happy, but the lyrics is sad. It's about being dissappointed at someone. I've written a similar song. When I read my lyrics, it's easy to tell that I'm dissappointed at someone and even bitter. Now I'm thinking who would like to listen to a song like this? What do yout think about expressing bitterness in a lyric? Is it okay?

What matters is connecting listerners emotionally
by: Anonymous

What i know in music is to connect listerners emotionally therefore even though your lyric is bitter but sounds good it does not matter.

try to connect emotionally in every lyric you write.

have fun
