Everytime. Pop Song. Lyrics Review

by maryf

This is a really rough draft, it's just my first thoughts, but when I tried improving it, I froze up on ideas. Please help if you have ideas.

Walking down the street in the pouring rain
The people passing by ask if we are insane
We're just a couple of teenagers having some fun
What's the matter with a few drops of water when it's all said and done?

Is this how you fall into this thing that they call love?
Playing tag in public parks, never having enough
Going down a roller coaster, holding on to you tight
Staying up late watching movies till all hours of the night.

Chorus: Everytime you look at me I wonder how much you can see
Can you see it in my eyes or have I on to good a disguise?
You and me just have to be, one and one oh don't you see?

What makes me feel this way I've never felt before.
A thrill runs up and down my spine when you knock on the door
Maybe I have fallen in love with you
And I'd give anything to know if you felt that way, too

Review Return to Every time (pop song)
by: Danierla

I do like the romance in the song. I am also a beginner song writer but I have written love poems for so many years. So I have some observations.
• First thing to remember is that there should be a rhythm
• Also remember that words and syllables in the verses should match to ensure flow
I have therefore used your song to come up with what I think follows my suggestions above. Forgive me, I did not want to change your song, but I have worked hard at finding a rhythm and at the same time still keeping the romance. Let’s hear what other people have to say about these suggestions and above all I would welcome your comments.
My proposition
We’re walking down the street in the pouring downpour
Some people passing by asking if we are insane
we’re just a couple of teenagers having some fun
what’s the matter with a few drops of water?

What’s this feeling like I am falling in love?
Playing tag in public parks, never ever having enough
Going down a roller coaster, holding you so tight
Staying up late watching movies till it is dawn

Chorus:
Every time you look at me I wonder how much you see
Every time you touch me I wonder how much you can feel
Can you see it in my eyes or have I got a mask?
You and me merging into one oh don't you see?

Would never ever know why I feel this way
Knocking on the door a thrill in my spine
I know you have swept me off my feet
Baby accept you are feeling this silly thing too
