ethics when recording demo

I was deliberatly left out of several studio sessions when the band Im in went ahead and recorded 3 songs1

the first song used a bass player to fill in and I wasnt aware they had written a new song! the second song they let a guitar player vocalist take over my vocal lines , leaving me out of the song completely except for my bass line I had laid earlier. One which I was not happpy with and was told it could be relaid. never was. The third song again has my vocal tracks laid by the other vocalist .

I feel that this is a unfair representaion of the band and of me and my work when this demo is being distributed.

I asked they not do the demo yet and let me simply lay the tracks for my vocal and bass lines .
I was told no and last night was givin the final completed demo cd .

I feel misrepresented and that this demo is not a proper example of the actual band and songs and well I feel the quality of my work was comprimised and does not show my abilities.

Am I right in thinking I should be the bass player on the demo and not some unkown fill in whos bass lines and vocal lines would not show the real song and bands work
