computers and software for solo gig back-up tracks

I am a retired high school band and orchestra teacher. It has been quite sometime since I retired and am out of the loop. I want to get back into playing professionally (piano)in clubs, restaurants, etc. and want software and a laptop computer to make back-up tracks.

Could you give me an idea of what would be a good choice.

I sold my old Atari and Notator software (that should tell you how long it has been since I played professionally), but I still have some old synthesizers plus a Yamaha digital piano. I was thinking of getting a stage piano so I would have something portable if needed.

The type of music would be soft jazz and other contemporary piano keyboard styles.
