"Cold iron line lyrics critique. folk"

by Barry Martin
(South africa)

Hi guys this is a song i'm working on.. the lyrics kinda just came to me so i want to try them out on a few folks. here goes
"(verse) i walk the cold iron line, freezing feet, aching mind. feet never side by side, forever following-chasing. the miles roll on beneath the rhythm of falling steps and the cold iron line falls away behind.(verse)

(Chorus) Awake as from a dream to a rust stained soul, i lie embraced in search for meaning. awake to days gone slowly by, i walk the cold iron line.(chorus)"

Please any feedback would be welcome.

Regards
Barry Martin

It's got a good meloncholly feel to it, and really makes the listener think. This is a keeper mate! Check out my song, "Time" and see what you think!

Beautiful! NEW

I am going for the same kind of vibe in my lyrics as well. Love the "iron line", so cool. A song I just wrote has a similar theme. It's also about crossing lines in order to look for purpose and reason. Just great! Keep writing!
