Choice ( still thinking of title) Songwriters Lyric Critique- alt rock/emo/???

I don't really know what i'm doing but i like writing lyrics, so heres what i got:

I won’t be coming home
You see these bruises on my mind
They haven’t healed
And they’ve been spreading over time

Counting backwards in my head
Can’t you just take it all away?
Why are you withholding
Your power to erase!

Consumed like the night sky
My mind is losing all will to fight
Surrounded by the voices of my memory
Like ghosts waiting to devour me

Letting go any future of hope
Because I never had a choice
