Cheap Start

by Pat Galloway
(Chandler, Az)

A friend of mind came over with a hand held MP3 digital voice recorder and recorded my band playing. He sent me a copy by internet and the quality was very good and the size was realitively small. His was about $400.00. I wanted to get one so I did some research and found that the $79.00 one was actually rated better. The reason I want a MP3 digital voice recorder is that it is a quick and inexpensive way to review songs, make cd copies for the whole band so they can practice and make improvements to the songs in their spare time.It also is a great way to send songs to family members either in a CD or by internet. Then once we have perfected the song I can go a mile down the road to a real studio and for $30.00/hr can produce a professional quality CD. That way I don't have to spend gobs of money and time to build a studio.
