Be true to your music

by Vanessa Castano
(Pembroke Pines, FL. USA)

You have to write what you feel, what's real. If your trying to put up an image that isn't about you in your music, it's not worth it. It wouldn't mean anything! Your music has to show who you really are and it has to show what you feel, or it doesn't mean anything. People don't wanna hear something fake it has to be real and then people will relate more because things that happen to you might be happenning to others, too. Just be yourself when writing.

great songwriting tip
by: Mantius

Great tip Vanessa. I have found that my best lyrics are written when I'm just being myself and expressing what's inside. The song is usually written in less time as well because everything comes out so naturally.
