Advice about getting songs heard.

by Kelly

I'm a songwriter who is interested in getting my songs heard (as most songwriters...). I have recently spoken with an agency in Nashville that will pitch ("shop") my songs for me after they have produced demos of my music and I have paid their fee. I'm not sure if this is the route I should take. Any advice?

BE CAREFUL

I'm not sure who you talked to but do not be fooled by people who ask you to pay for something in order to pitch your songs . Be very careful.

find someone to sing your songs! get in contact with amateur singers looking for songs to sing on youtube or at local shows! you would ask in return for them too tell everyone the writer's name, phone, email, site ect.... you will eventually come across some big deals! people will hear your music on youtube at shows on iTunes everywhere if you get an unprofessional singer to sing your stuff, youll make him/her famous as well as yourself! I've heard of many people who have done that on youtube and at local shows! and if you consider this advice contatct me and I'd be willing to buy (at a reasonable price! or for free which ever! *winks*) a few songs and recommend you to other people! my email is:

Use Caution
by: Diane

I'm a lyricist and songwriter. Sadly, because I'm a 'nobody' I'll probably never sell anything.

I'm beginning to believe that IF WE DON'T KNOW SOMEONE IN THE BUSINESS...WE'RE DOOMED. IT'S ALL ABOUT STATUS AND $$$$$$$$.
