a love that was real (not final title) - lyric critique

by Dannie M.
(west virgina)

you fill your mind
with things back from summertime
when you were together
just tryin to succeed...

and you know its just as easy
to run back to the old feelings and
try to recapture
what was real

youll look into that mirror of grime
and find yourself
Runnn-inng out of time

seeing that youve wasted all your moments
adreamin for somehting
thatll never be

oh nooo
you just cant get it get back
cant you see?...

all you have to hold onto
are the memories-
the memories of what was real

All you can do now
is wait
wait for something better to come along
aint that that what they say?
you dont need the pain to hold onto
of the love that was real

cause you know youll look into that mirror of grime
and find yourself
Runnn-inng out of time

seeing that youve wasted all your moments
adreamin for something
thatll never be

oh nooo
you just cant get it get back
cant you see?...

all you have to hold onto
are the memories-
the memories of what was real

wait for something better to come along
aint that that what they say?
you dont need the pain to hold onto
of the love that was real ...

Love It!!!

Dear Dannie M,
Your song was fantastic and very touching in a way, you stayed on a topic and gave a vivid description of the drama. I think you have a unique talent for song writing. Please write more songs, because I love your lyrics. You are definately a Lyrical-Queen!!!Have fun writing more songs- and I hope your brother's divorce turns out well and that him and his "wife" find a way to love each other and avoid arguements. I wish you well on your "song writing". If you write more songs and sing them at karaoke bars, it will give you an idea of what a celebrity. Plus, you'll be way more popular which could earn you a great deal of respect. Keep your head held high and you will accomplish everything!!!
Luv,
Marie Beaulieu A.K.A. M.Q.
